{"id":1986,"date":"2021-09-22T08:18:22","date_gmt":"2021-09-22T08:18:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pesdescalcoscc.org\/?p=1986"},"modified":"2021-09-22T08:18:26","modified_gmt":"2021-09-22T08:18:26","slug":"invited-curador-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pesdescalcoscc.org\/en\/invited-curador-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"INVITED CURADOR 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Associate Professor of the Postgraduate Programme at the Graduate School of Architecture (University of Johannesburg), Ant\u00f3nio Tom\u00e1s will be the Guest Curator of the 2nd edition of the LUUANDA residency.<br \/><br \/>PhD in Anthropology from Columbia University was a study on\u00a0<em>Refracted Governmentality: space, politics, and social structure in contemporary Luanda<\/em>,  he has conducted extensive fieldwork in Luanda focusing specifically on the modalities of urban transformation from the city&#8217;s inception during Portuguese rule to the post-colonial period.<br \/>The main findings of these research projects are at the core of his forthcoming book, &#8220;In the Skin of the City: Spatial Transformation in Luanda&#8221; (by Duke University Press).
